Pet’s Information

Pet’s Name: Cheeto and Creamsicle

July 2022 update: Cheeto and Creamsicle have been fully vaccinated and adopted into a foster home. Their profile will be updated, as the situation develops.

Cheeto and Creamsicle, also known as the "Orange Crush," are inseparable brothers. Cheeto is lighter in color and Creamsicle is slightly darker in color with a white blaze on his nose. My former partner and I adopted these siblings from the street/neighborhood in the summer of 2015. When the next door neighbors moved out of their house, they abandoned these adorable kitties. We began feeding them outdoors and, shortly thereafter, we adopted them into our home.

Cheeto and Creamsicle are approximately seven years old. They are neutered, microchipped males (both procedures were performed at the vet clinic shortly after we adopted them). They are exclusively indoor kitties, and they live with multiple kitties. As of July 2022, both kitties have up to date vaccinations. Both kitties have tested negative for FeLV and heart worms. Cheeto has tested negative for FIV and Creamsicle has tested positive for FIV. However, all Creamsicle's household siblings have tested negative for FIV. We suspect that this could be a false negative result. Nonetheless, Creamsicle should be tested, once again.

As noted, Cheeto and Creamsicle reside in a multiple cat household. They have an excellent rapport with the other kitties, although they have an obvious preference for each other. These brothers can be a bit reticent for human contact at first. With some patience and reassurance, they will eventually warm up to their humans. Creamsicle acclimates more quickly to new people than Cheeto. However, both will make a wonderful addition to any forever home!

We are not sure if they are suitable for a household with young, active children. They may be better suited for an adult-only household or a household with older children. We do not recommend that Cheeto and Creamsicle be adopted into a household with dogs.

We strongly recommend that Cheeto and Creamsicle be adopted as a pair. They have been inseparable since birth and they prefer each other's company.

Cheeto and Creamsicle (aka the "Orange Crush") would make a wonderful addition to a single- or multiple-cat household. They are also appropriate for first-time cat parents. Please feel to contact me (Todd) with any questions and concerns.
