Pet’s Information

Pet’s Name: Elsie

Biography:

Elsie is a shy but cuddly female cat that is 4 years old. She is already spayed and has a micro chip. Elsie was initially a kitten when she was caught and released after spaying and microchipping by a local catch and release program for stray cats (she had a corner clipped from her left ear). She was found in our backyard, as a kitten, and she has been an indoor/outdoor cat for the past 4 years. She is healthy and has all her shots. She loves wet cat food but will also eat dry food as that is her main diet. She is a very affectionate and loving cat to adults and other cats. She spends her days cuddling and napping with our other cat who is also an adult female. But she will run away and hide from children she doesn't know. She will cuddle/sleep next to children if she gets to know them (as seen in the photo). She loves being given bathes and she will let you hold her as long as you like, she will often crawl into bed with you and sleep next to you. But she is most active between 8pm - 3 am. She likes to be outside if she's allowed to wander, she usually will come back after about 2 hours or she is also known to stay out later. Elsie is potty trained, we use a robotic litter box (Litter Robot), but sometimes she will have potty training regression (she will pee on clothes or plastic bags left out on the floor). She always uses the litter box for poops but sometimes will stray from the litter box for pee. We also only have one litter box in the house which is shared by 2 cats.

Breed: Korat

Date of Birth: March 1, 2020

Color/Markings: Gray

Weight: 17lbs.

Reason for re-homing:

We are also out of the house all the time due to work. Our older cat does very well with us being gone. But our youngest cat, Elsie, has episodes of potty training regression in which she will pee on either clothing or plastic bags that have been left out on the floor. She's also an indoor/outdoor cat, she loves to explore the outdoors but our neighborhood has coyotes. We would like her to find a home that would be a great fit for her.
