Biography:
My wife and I adopted Fitz 4 years ago from our local Animal Hospital. Sadly, he was found by animal control tied up to a fence in a parking lot in the snow a few months before we adopted him. He suffers from separation anxiety and it's a bit more pronounced than what most dogs may display but he's currently prescribed Fluoxetine that he takes daily to help calm his nerves. For the first year and a half, it was just my wife and I with Fitz and he was nothing short of the most loving, loyal, and sweet dog you can imagine. We had our first son which caused a major change in Fitz's routine and seemed to reignite his anxiety. We had issues where Fitz would start to nip when someone left the house and his behavior was a bit more unpredictable until he settled in and went back to his original self. After our second son, Fitz's behavior really shifted and his anxiety is at a point now where we unfortunately can't safely keep him home with us and ensure the kids are safe.
