Pet’s Information

Pet’s Name: Kiki

Biography:

Kiki currently lives in a family with a couple and one other dog. Kiki is dominant, and our other dog knows this. We found that Kiki loved being with our friend who we had taking her for walks and seemed only too happy to stay with her. Thus we have decided to try to find her a loving home with one or two people and no other pets, as she will try to dominate them, and that might not be a happy situation for the other pets.
She has been known to have bad separation anxiety which has led to crying and an autoimmune dry-eye condition. this cleared up when she was given lots of one-on-one attention from caregivers when we were away. This is what led to the idea that Kiki would really be happiest in a one-on-one living situation permanently with a human best friend. Other than this she has no health conditions.

Breed: West Highland white Terrier

Gender: Female

Date of Birth: December 9, 2014

Color/Markings: white/beige

Weight: 13lbs.

Size: Small

Re-Home Fee: $150

Reason for re-homing:

Kiki is a sweet and loving one-person kind of dog. I really need her to go to a good home, so I will be asking for a rehoming fee of $150. This is negotiable. I do not want her in a shelter of any kind as that would be traumatizing to her, but I want to do my due diligence and make sure she has a good home. She is a pure breed dog with ACA registration. She is a fairly energetic dog, nervous, playful, loves cuddles and attention (like getting haircuts, brushing, and petting). She is dominant, particularly with other dogs, and likes to be the leader, and she wants to be with her person all the time. She loves going for walks and drives, going places. She is best if she has someone who will give her a lot of attention and treats for good behavior, but will not let her be the leader of them! She has been known to bark a lot, but sometimes does not bark much. It depends on her environment and how anxious and insecure she feels in said environment, so it helps to keep her close. She does not like to be left alone for long periods as she might feel abandoned, but prefers going everywhere with her person. Basically this is why we are trying to find her a better home. She would be happiest with someone who would like a dog to go everywhere with them and give them lots of attention. We are not able to do this, so we have determined we are not her best fit.
