Great dog that needs the right home. Some one experienced with aggression behaviors.

I would love to keep him but can't take any chances with my 5 year old daughter.

Reason for re-homing:

Lucky is an amazing 8-9 year old dog that I have had since he was a puppy. He is house trained and very obedient. He is a great inside or outside dog.

However, he has some food aggression and is very territorial of our household. He has bitten people that have come in our yard or house unannounced.

He does good around people outside our house and yard. But we currently have to lock him up when strangers visit our house.

He is getting old and has arthritis in his hips. He doesn't run very well anymore.

He currently lives with 3 other female dogs. He can be aggressive when introducing to other dogs. But once he knows they won't hurt him. He usually warms up pretty quick. He currently lives with female dogs. Not sure how he will react to male dogs.

I am rehoming cause of my 5 year old daughter. She was playing rough with him and he nipped at her. He did not break skin but I can't take that chance. I love him and don't want to put him down. But can no longer keep him at my house
