Pet’s Information

Pet’s Name: Mischief

  • Mischief: will sit on your lap or bed for hours, purrs loudly and loves being pet.  However, can be a little more prickly - mostly good around kids, but did scratch my daughter near her eye when she was young because he felt threatened.  Does not get along well with other cats/dogs (other than his brother)
  • The cats have supported one another against other cats/dog when threatened. Not ideal, but normal reaction from a cat.
  • The cats don’t take medication
  • They eat Science Diet hairball and urinary control dry cat food and Purina Fancy Feast wet cat food (mainly seafood varieties)
  • They are housebroken, and use a litter box
  • They are up-to-date on vaccinations
  • They are microchipped
  • Ideally, we would like to rehome Mischief and his brother together, but can do individually, as well

Breed: American Short Hair

Gender: Male

Date of Birth: April 1, 2011

Color/Markings: Black

Weight: 15lbs.

Size: Medium

Reason for re-homing:

My family needs to rehome our two cats. We have small children and will be likely be moving next summer (job). We can’t have the cats inside or outside, so they have lived in a one-car garage the past eight months. The cats regularly throw up, scratch furniture/carpets, and get under foot or go under the bed when we need to take care of nursing baby. They also have peed indoors, albeit infrequently. Outdoors, they use the kids dirt “sandbox” area as a litter box, and dig in the soil of our raised beds.
