Pet’s Name: Remi
Biography:
Hi! I'm looking for a new home or foster. My name is Remi! I am your typical exuberant lab mix with lots of love to give. I am dog, cat and people friendly. I love to play and run and would do well with a similarly spirited dog/human playmate. I am perfect for an active person or family as I do have that lab energy and love everyone I meet. I enjoy cuddling, ice cubes, and a nice soft place to stretch out. Everyone who meets me falls in love with me because I am just that lovable. My momma loves me but she is in a wheelchair and I have grown a LOT since she adopted me. I am very strong and pull her around, and that’s not safe. But she is committed to keeping me until I find the perfect home. I’m looking forward to having someone who can train me, get me back to my former self (I’m taking on some habits from my super scared dog sister), and match my boundless energy for play, love, and cuddles. Physically mom and my sister dog cannot. My mom thinks her loving me is just not enough – she thinks I really need so much more to live a good life. Will you be the one/family to help me?
I'm around 1yr 6mos, spayed, vaccinated end of May, chipped, heartworm negative, 88 lbs but on a diet. I live just east of Conroe.
Breed: Lab mix
Gender: Female
Date of Birth: January 1, 2021
Color/Markings: black with white markings
Weight: 88lbs.
Size: Large
Re-Home Fee: $50
Reason for re-homing:
Ms Remi has grown many inches taller and put on a lot of weight since I took her to keep her from going to the shelter--I thought she was grown according to her vet records which said she was 3 years old, and she was the perfect size for me and her sister-dog. That didn't last. Now she can pull me around or over in my wheelchair, without meaning to, and that's dangerous. Her sister dog is a rescue with extreme fear issues, and now Remi is taking on some of Lucy's characteristics--which she didn't have before. I don't want her to go further down this path, and I want her to have a family that can be active, play and cuddle in the way she needs, which I can't do from my wheelchair and due to weakness, etc. Rehoming is a hard decision, but will be best for her as well as me.
