Biography:
I adopted Rizz from his previous owner 4 months ago who needed to rehome his dog since he was moving away. Since then, Rizz has won over my heart. He is affectionate, energetic, and intelligent. He loves cuddles and long walks/runs. He also is very food-motivated and learns tricks very quickly. He still thinks he is a puppy and acts like a lap dog (even though he is about 81 pounds and is almost 2 years old - his birthday is April 11, 2020).
Medical information: He has a predisposition to get small bumps along his back, called superficial pyoderma, triggered by stress or skin irritation. They are mitigated by his diet (Hills Science Adult Sensitive Skin and Stomach kibble and canned wet food) as well as a medicated shampoo (which I will provide) which he should be bathed in every 2 weeks. Other than that, he is a very healthy dog!
Behavior: He is an extremely friendly yet very hyper dog. Thus, he needs consistent strenuous exercise. Furthermore, he has separation anxiety and needs to be with someone for the majority of the day. If he is kept alone, he needs to be in an isolated space so he cannot get destructive. He is very friendly with cats, dogs, and children but does tend to get food aggressive around them (not around adults though). So, he needs to be fed separately and kept out of the kitchen. When he gets hyper (often after a day without exercise), he will get the zoomies and run around. He also play bites sometimes but they tend to be very gentle. If he gets too energetic however, he does get a little unintentionally rough. Therefore, exercise is a must. He is not an aggressive dog by any means. He just does not fully understand how to express his love in a calm, collected manner. He needs a patient and understanding owner to help him navigate his puppy-like excitement!
Rizz is an absolutely incredible dog. I love him so much and rehoming him will be a very sad process for me. However, I do not have the time or resources to give him the best life since I am a busy college student living in a small apartment. I just want him to be happy and I know I cannot provide him everything he requires. All he needs is extra attention and love and will, in return, give you infinite happiness and love!

I love Rizz so much, however, I am a full-time college student and do not have the resources to give Rizz the stimulation he needs. He is definitely a high maintenance dog and needs someone willing to give him plenty of time, love, and attention. He would best excel in an environment with someone who has experience with hyper/unruly dogs, if he’s not alone for too long, and if given multiple walks in a day.
