Biography:

We have had Roxy since she was 4 weeks old, she is 6 years old now. We adopted her from a family whose dog unintentionally had puppies. Roxy has traveled with us, moved with us. She used to sleep in our bed. We would take her along to the gym. She is EXTREMELY SMART. We have had dogs all our lives and she is by far the smartest dog I have ever seen.

She is current with all her vaccines, flea and tick, and heartworm medicine.

The best home environment for Roxy will be a house with no children and no dogs.

She is great with cats. But some dogs she likes and some she doesn't. We lived with 3 dogs and 2 cats and she was good with all. But every once in a while she will see a neighbor dog and she did not like them at all.

Reason for re-homing:

The reason we are looking to rehome Roxy is because we have a son who just turned 1. There have been 2 times where our son came up to her and he tried to play and Roxy was not happy and growled. We think the reason is that our son being that little he plays a little rough still, doesn't know how to properly pet a dog. Even though she has NEVER bitten a person we just don't want to take the chances. If our son was much older where he understood how to properly pet and play with a dog we would feel more comfortable.
