I have brought Rudy back with me from Greece as a rescued dog in immediate need of assistance. Rudy was chosen by Rescuer Elisavet Pessexidou (Amyntaio, Greece) to come to the U.S for placement. Rudy was hit by a car as a puppy and endured three long months of surgery and rehabilitation. He was then placed with a fosterer in the village of Kelli. The fosterer became ill with cancer. As the cancer progressed and the fosterer could not protect Rudy, the people of the village started taunting and caning Rudy. Many people in countries with feral dogs treat them cruelly. This was the case with Rudy. Rescuer Elisavet decided that it was in Rudy's best interest to be removed from the village of Kelli. The only alternative was to place Rudy out on the back roads of northern Greece to fend for himself. Rudy had not been raised completely feral and would not have survived. Could you please help this unfortunate dog? I have three months to place him.
