Biography:

This is Sparky. He is a spunky boy who never meets a stranger- person or fur friend. He’s 5 or 6 years old. Sparky needed a new home last November so I took him in with the intention of immediately rehoming him, but he was very sick. Sparky had surgery to remove heartworms from his heart so he could have the best chance to survive heartworm treatment. Sparky has gone through heartworm treatment and is thriving and healthy now. He is looking for his forever home. He does great with other dogs and with cats. He is learning how to play as he didn't have many playmates in his previous home. He goes in and out of his kennel great with a kennel treat. He used to bark when his kennel door was shut, but he doesn’t do this anymore but i think he may have some anxiety/trauma related to the door being shut specifically. He is not kennel aggressive and has never tried to bite while going in or out. He has no dietary restrictions or allergies to my knowledge and eats dry or wet food wonderfully. He does eat in his kennel as both do both of my other dogs but he has not shown any food aggression. He does not like to give up his chewy unless you have something more delicious for him and he will gladly swap with you. Sparky is not potty trained- he was mostly outside in his previous home so he will require some work as far as that goes although he is working on it currently and will use a potty pad but needs some helping realizing that’s the only place he should go (or outside of course). To my knowledge he has not been around any children but given a proper introduction, he would be probably be just fine.
