Biography:

We got Waylon about 4 years ago. He has been a great dog and my kids love him. We live on a farm and have tried to keep him in the boundaries with training and electric collars but unfortunately he has grown to ignore those prompts in favor of following his nose… this is so common for his breed. We’ve determined he needs a place that is fenced in so we know he will stay safe. He is great while we are around but left to his own he wanders. He always returns when we call him and never evades us but eventually we fear he will disappear without a fence. He’s a big dog (sometimes not realizing how big ) but never aggressive. He is excitable with other dogs but doesn’t bite. A companion dog would be helpful to help him get out his energy but not necessary. He does have a lot of energy! We have a farm cat he likes to chase but mostly out of curiosity. He’s around farm ducks and geese everyday and has never hurt them. He's a great dog, but he needs a fenced in yard.
