Owner’s Name:Tristan Helgerson
Port Costa, CA
Pet’s Name: Willow
Being upfront, Willow is aggressive towards dogs she doesn't know and very weary around and barks at people she isn't familiar with. She's incredibly friendly, compassionate and protective to people she is familiar with so she will take a few days to get familiar with you but once she is she'll be attached to you.
Information: Willow is a 5 (close to 6) year old female German Shepard. Spayed and nurtured, micro-chipped, up-to-date on her shots. This is a dog I got from my mother so I do not know the specifics on any heart worm or tick prevention she may have beyond normal monthly flea and tick medication.
Training: She is house broken and trained to go to and scratch at the door when she needs to go out side. She knows sit, stay, lay down, paw, other paw. She is trained to stay by your side when walking and not to cross roads until you give her a signal. Disclosure; I'm the only person she's ever walked with so I don't know how well she does these things with other people.
Major behavioral issues: As stated before she is aggressive towards dogs she doesn't know, weary around/barks at people she isn't familiar with.
Minor behavioral issues: She doesn't like people touching her paws or tail but everywhere else is fine.
The environment I fell would be best for her is somewhere without a lot of people where with a space for her to chill at away from others. With people who can give her plenty of attention and space to move around in. Really just anywhere she can get the help and support she needs with people who genuinely want to give her a place to live. She's a really good dog and I'm really hoping she can find somewhere soon.
Breed: German shepard
Date of Birth: October 2, 2021
Color/Markings: Brown with black back and white belly
Re-Home Fee: $700
Reason for re-homing:
She's aggressive towards other dogs and weary around people she's not familiar with. She got into a fight with my sisters dog and I was told she simply isn't aloud to live here anymore and that if I don't get rid of her soon I'll be kicked out as well. That and I don't have the time to properly take care of her anymore or the money to pay others to do it for me. She spends her days locked in a back corner of the yard alone all day. She deserves better than this and if it means giving her to away to someone who can actually take care of her I'll do it.
