Pet’s Information

Pet’s Name: Fritz

Biography:

Meet Fritz! He was found on the side of the road at about 5 weeks and taken to the shelter. We adopted him from the shelter at 6 weeks. He is a Foxhound mix and has shown some very mild aggression around his food towards my 3 very young kids and we just don't have the time to train him. He has the normal puppy nibbling but when he hasn't been exercised there is more biting than usual. He loves to run and always has his nose on the ground sniffing around. In the evenings he loves curling up on your lap for some love, but only after having been exercised.  We are working on crate training and he does well with this as long as you are letting him out. When given freedom of the home, accidents are more likely. We crate at night and he still needs to be let out once or twice at night but he's able to hold it longer and longer.

Fritz will come with some toys, dog bowls and some other odds and ends. He is up to date on all puppy shots. We have him scheduled for his rabies vaccine next week. He will be old enough for neuter around October 15.

Breed: American Foxhound mix

Date of Birth: July 9, 2025

Reason for re-homing:

We are struggling with the time and ability to potty train the puppy. Additionally, he has growled at the kids when they mess with his food at mealtimes. He has normally puppy nibbling but shows some mild aggression when spending too much time in the crate. We do not have the breed experience to properly train this little guy.
