Meet Ace - A Gentle Soul Looking for a Loving Home
Ace is a young pup with a tender heart and a quiet spirit. His past hasn’t been the easiest — we were told he spent his first year living outside in a kennel, which likely explains his preference for being outdoors. Since coming into our care about a month ago, he’s made great strides, but he’s still learning to trust and feel fully safe inside a home.
Ace is shy and a bit jumpy with sudden movements or loud noises, especially around toddlers, so he would do best in a home with older children or a calmer environment. He isn’t aggressive at all — no growling or snapping — just a sweet boy who tucks his tail and keeps his distance when he’s unsure. With time, patience, and lots of love, he’ll continue to come out of his shell.
He especially loves women and will happily cuddle once he feels safe. He enjoys giving kisses and plays well with our dogs. We're unsure how he is with cats or livestock, but he's still young and could learn with gentle, consistent training.
Ace did get nervous during bath time and started to shake, which shows he’ll need a kind and understanding person to help him through those experiences. He does bark when he hears noises — nothing excessive, just doing his job as a little watch dog.
We don’t have medical records for Ace, but he appears healthy and happy overall. He’s truly a special boy who just needs someone willing to give him a chance, show him stability, and help him learn what it means to be part of a loving home.
