Pet’s Name: Asteria and Pepper

Biography:

Pepper & Asteria – Bonded Siblings Seeking Temporary Foster Home (6–12 Months)

Pepper (male) and Asteria (female) are a bonded brother-and-sister pair from the same litter, just turned 2 years old. They are spayed/neutered, weigh approximately 60 lbs each, and are a border collie / griffon mix.

They are healthy, fully house-trained, and up to date on their Rabies and DHPP (distemper/parvo) vaccinations.

These two are intelligent, affectionate, and very active dogs who do best with space, structure, and regular exercise. They are closely bonded and provide comfort and companionship to each other, so a foster home willing to host them together is strongly preferred.

Pepper is gentle and somewhat sensitive; he can be slightly skittish if approached too abruptly and responds best to calm, patient handling. Asteria is confident and playful. They are generally dog-friendly, though as siblings they may occasionally team up to establish boundaries. There is no history of aggression.

They do well with children and other dogs but are not suitable for a home with cats.

This is a temporary foster placement sought for approximately 6 to 12 months, while their owner works to regain stable housing and employment. All efforts are focused on ensuring continuity of care and minimizing disruption for the dogs during this transition.

An ideal foster home would have:

  • A fenced yard

  • Experience with active breeds

  • Time for daily exercise and engagement

This request is made out of responsibility and care, with the goal of providing Pepper and Asteria a safe, loving environment during this transitional period.

Reason for re-homing:

Due to housing and employment instability following family circumstances, I am temporarily unable to provide the space, routine, and consistency these active dogs need. I am seeking a responsible foster placement (6–12 months) to ensure their well-being while I work toward stable housing and employment. I am deeply committed to their care and to resuming full responsibility once circumstances stabilize.
