Pet’s Name: Beau
Biography:
Beau is a 4-year-old male Pit Bull with a huge heart and an even bigger personality. We rescued him from the Humane Society, and from the moment he came home, he showed us just how much love he has to give. At first, Beau got along well with our other two dogs, but over time, tensions grew and he began to struggle sharing space with them. After working with him and exploring all our options, we've come to the heartbreaking decision that Beau would be happiest - and safest - in a home where he can be the only pet. Beau is full of life and love and is looking for a home where he can be someone's one-and-only. He thrives on companionship and will bond deeply with his person. If you're looking for a loving, goofy, affectionate best friend who will always be by your side, Beau may be your perfect match.
🐾 Beau’s Personality & Behavior
Beau is a loving, loyal companion with a huge heart and a playful spirit. He’s the kind of dog who will follow you room to room, curl up beside you on the couch, and light up with joy when it’s time for a walk or play outside. He loves zooming around the yard, rolling in the grass, and getting belly rubs. Beau is food-motivated, smart, and eager to please. He thrives with routine, structure, and human attention.
He’s house-trained, crate-trained, and knows basic commands. Beau settles well indoors when he’s had enough exercise and enjoys quiet cuddle time just as much as playtime.
🟢 What Makes Beau Special:
-
Deeply bonded to his person
-
Affectionate and cuddly
-
Loves being outside and going on adventures
-
Smart and food-motivated
-
Loyal and intuitive — he picks up on your mood
⚠️ Behavioral Considerations
Beau needs to be the only pet in the home. He has a history of conflict with other dogs, including our own, after an initial period of getting along. While he can sometimes tolerate dogs in passing, living with them long-term causes stress and can lead to aggressive behavior. This is the main reason we are rehoming him—it’s no longer safe or fair to him or our other pets.
-
Dog-aggressive: Yes (needs to be an only dog)
-
Resource guarding: Minimal with people, may occur with other dogs
-
Separation anxiety: Mild to moderate — prefers to be near his person but can stay in a crate or, preferably, in a room with the door shut for short periods
-
Will not do well with cats or other small animals
Beau would do best in a home with no other pets, and with someone experienced with strong, affectionate breeds who can provide boundaries, love, and consistency. A fenced yard would be ideal, but he can also do well with daily walks and outdoor time.

Reason for re-homing:
While Beau is wonderful with people, he needs to be the only pet in the home. He lived peacefully with our two other dogs for a while, but over time, things changed. Despite training and lots of love, the tension has become unsafe for everyone involved. This decision is deeply painful, but we’re committed to finding Beau a calm, stable home where he can thrive.
