Biography:

Dixie has been with us for over 10 years now. She is a sweet girl and we love her to death, but we have a five year old son who is energetic and doesn't always understand boundaries and Dixie doesn't seem to have much of a tolerance for him. Twice in the last two years she has nipped at him causing minor injuries not requiring medical attention. And since we now have a newborn in the home we feel that re-homing her is the best option. She gets along well with adults, older children, and our other dog, a pitbull. Both incidents involved our son getting too close to her face and we think she just got scared. We desperately want to find her a new home where she can live out her remaining years. She's located in Wichita but I am willing to transport her wherever and will also provide her kennel, food, etc. In addition I will reimburse whatever adoption fees this website charges.
