Biography:
Hi! My name is Duke VIII! I am a handsome 8 month old flashy brindle boy that is an owner surrender due to my family being unable to care for me. I am described as active, smart, playful, and nervous! I am stingy with my food and will protect it to keep to myself, so I need to be fed separately from others. I am said to be dog friendly, however I am high energy and pair well with dogs that are accepting of it. I live with three kids (ages 5-9 years) and I do well with them but have not been around other unknown children. I have never lived with a cat so it is uncertain if I am feline friendly. I am crate trained, house trained, and at night I sleep in my crate. When the humans must be away, I react fine and wait for them to come home. When outside I do not attempt to jump fences/gates but am curious what is under the grass and will dig to find out. I do not like overstimulation but some of my favorite things are riding in the car, attention, and playing fetch for hours!
