Pet’s Name: Koda
Biography:
Koda is a 47-pound, 6-year-old sweetheart! He always wants to be cuddled up next to you. He loves to be buried under blankets and snooze all day. At the same time, he would love to go on a walk and sniff all the things! Koda is a very calm and gentle medium-sized boy and is so well behaved. He also loves car rides! He will happily go anywhere with you. He is friendly with other dogs and kids/people. He has done great surrounded by the chaos of other dogs/people at the shelter, vet, petsmart, or just out on walks. He walks well on leash. He knows sit and we taught him shake in a few minutes. He is very food motivated so you could teach him anything. Based on the condition he was found in, I think he had a rough past. He was very skinny and timid. After a few days he started to come out of his shells and play with toys and run around our yard. He was already house trained when we got him. We would happily provide you with his beds, toys, leash, collars, current food, etc. Koda is such a good boy and just wants to be loved!

Reason for re-homing:
We only intended to foster Koda for couple days because his quality of life was deteriorating in the shelter, but fell in love with him and after 3 weeks we adopted him. This was not the smartest decision on our part as we have been struggling financially and are planning to sell our house and move into an apartments soon. I also take better care of myself mentally and physically when we are dog-free. I was already struggling to get out of the house before we had him, and now I never leave. I say all this because we are not rehoming him due to any fault of his own. Just a bad decision on our part as we had potential adopters reach out but we felt like we couldn’t let him go. I know his perfect home is out there, and we should have just let him go when adopters wanted him. He’s been with us since 1/8/25.
