🐾 Meet Lulu — Looking for Her Forever Home ❤️
This is one of the hardest posts I’ve ever had to make.
Lulu is a beautiful gray tabby who will be 4 years old on January 12, 2027. I adopted her from the Humane Society of Reading when she was about 6 months old, and she has been such a special part of my life.
Lulu is sweet, loving, playful, smart, feisty, and definitely a little sassy! 😻 She loves chasing her little felt balls and has plenty of playful energy. She is also VERY food motivated and somehow always knows when it’s almost time to eat! 😂
When Lulu wants her wet food or treats, she will actually sit patiently and let you know exactly what she wants. She is such a smart girl and has so much personality.
💔 Unfortunately, I am looking for a new home for Lulu because of an ongoing urinating/spraying issue.
We live in the city, and several neighbors feed stray cats. There are frequently cats around our property—at our front door, outside the lower-level windows, and in our yard. We believe the constant presence of these cats may be causing Lulu stress and contributing to the spraying.
We have discussed alternate options with her veterinarian, and she has also been placed on the Humane Society of Reading’s return wait list.
This decision has absolutely not been made because Lulu isn't loved. Quite the opposite. I love her very much, and that is what makes this so incredibly difficult.
I truly believe Lulu may be happier in a calm, stable home where she isn't constantly exposed to stray cats and where she can feel safe and secure.
Other than the spraying issue, we have not experienced any significant behavioral concerns with her. She is affectionate, playful, loving, and full of personality. ❤️
🏠 What I am looking for:
I am NOT looking to simply give Lulu to the first person who asks.
I want to find someone who will:
❤️ Love her unconditionally
❤️ Be patient while she adjusts
❤️ Understand that she has had an issue with spraying
❤️ Give her a calm and secure environment
❤️ See the wonderful cat underneath the behavioral issue
❤️ Treat her as a member of the family
Lulu is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. Her last vet appointment was in June. She will also go with any remaining food, treats, and her special belongings.
There is a $50.00 adoption fee. My only concern is finding the right person and the right home for her.
This is not an emergency rehoming. I would much rather take the time to find the right family than rush her into a situation that isn't a good fit.
