Pet’s Information

Pet’s Name: Raahi

Biography:

My name is Raahi, and I'm an energetic Maltipoo with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. I just celebrated my first birthday, and I'm hard at work on the art of being a very good boy. I just got home after a board and train program and worked really hard on being a more obedient boy (though occasionally I can be stubborn, or silly).

My favorite things in the world are playtime, walks, and, most inmportantly, my toys. I could play fetch with my ball whenever you want. When I'm not chasing after my ball, you can find me engaged in an epic game of tug-of-war. And when it's time to unwind, there's nothing better than settling down for a good chew session with one of my favorite toys or sleeping in my bed.

I also love exploring the world on my daily walks. The sights, the smells--it's all so exciting! I can walk well on a leash and can listen to commands outside. I'm fully crate trained, know my basic commands (but sometimes need to see a treat if l'm feeling stubborn).

I like being next to my human, and I do have a little anxiety when we're apart. I also like to keep our home safe, so I do alert my owner to sudden sounds, doorbells, or new people entering the house. I am definitely working on being less worried about new sights and sounds in the home.

Reason for re-homing:

We love our boy Raahi very dearly, and he is a ball of energy and excitement. We brought home our first baby, and he has struggled with the shift in attention. We think he would do really well in a home that can fulfill his energy needs (fetch and walks) or young children that have energy to play with him. He would also probably do better in a home less prone to the random noises of the city, or would benefit from continued training to help decrease his alert-barking. He completed a four week board and train program in an attempt to try and have him stay in our family, but we are struggling to manage him and our newborn. Please ask any questions - we think he'd be a truly wonderful addition to your home.
