We got Riley from a friend on Facebook 4 years ago, after a coworker had abandoned Riley. She has been an angel since then, but since our baby arrived 4 months ago she has become aggressive with our cats. I truly think she is protective of the baby, but I am afraid the baby is going to get between her and the cats. She is up to date on all vaccines as of this month, has been spayed, eats IAMS but loves people food treats, gets flea/tick and heart meds monthly. She absolutely loves cuddles and scratches on her bum. She is a lazy couch potato.

This is incredibly difficult to write, but after a lot of thought and heartbreak, we’ve made the decision to find another place for Riley. She’s a sweet, loyal girl who has been part of our family for 4 years, but since the arrival of our baby, she has become increasingly aggressive toward our cats. We’ve tried to manage the situation, but it’s become clear that our home is no longer the right environment for her. We are afraid that as our baby gets older, he may get between her and the cats and something could happen.
She deserves a home where she can feel safe, relaxed, and loved — ideally one without cats or other small animals. She’s great with adults and older kids, house-trained, and up to date on all vaccinations. She loves to cuddle and is a sweet little couch potato.
This decision is based solely on ensuring the safety of everyone in our home, especially our baby, and giving Riley the best chance at a peaceful, happy life.
