Pet’s Name: Scooby
Biography:
Scooby was a year old stray when I found her 2 years ago and has been a constant companion to my wife, myself and Lexi, our Dalmation mix. Scooby is learning her commands to Stay , Wait , Leave it, Come and Sit. She loves to please her owner, me. but can be stubborn but respond to consistent firmness. Scooby has never been physically punished. She will go to her crate when directed.
Scooby gets upset at times with other dogs on a leash. Quiet mellow dogs do not get her attention. More aggressive anxious dogs can upset her. She responds beautifully to the command sit when she pulls toward a leashed dog and waits until the dog passes. In off leash dog parks , she is fine and will not pay attention. She is excellent with children and young adults as some will come visit her in our yard. She is not an incessant barker and will only bark at people and dogs that walk by house. However, a simple "Stop It" is very effective with Scooby. Being a terrier, she loves to hunt varmints, possum and anole.
She establishes a strong bond with her owner. Scooby is very protective of her master and toys. Scooby will do best in a one master situation becomes she likes to focus all her attention to that one person. She probably will not do well with several "masters" in same home. She is very affectionate to her one person and will want to please that person.
