Biography:
We adopted Tilly when she was about 6 months old. She is a very loyal, fun, goofy and loving dog. She does have some anxiety that is triggered by other dogs, bad weather and airplanes. Tilly is reactive to other dogs, but she has lived with 2 other dogs and a cat for the past 4 years. She can be friends with other animals with some time and patience. She takes Prozac each day for her anxiety and when she has an anxiety attack, she likes to go into our laundry room with the dryer running without heat. She is housebroken but occasionally has accidents. However, we have lived in a 2nd floor condo until about a month ago and find that the pee-pee accidents are less likely when she can let herself out to use the bathroom. She will ride in the car and has been on several 10 hour road trips. But cars with loud exhaust or loud music can cause her stress. She is difficult to board because being in a confined space with so many other dogs around cause here extreme stress. We have hired a pet sitter when taking vacations or being out of town overnight. She is used to being home alone for up to 12 hours and usually does ok. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you would like to meet her!

Reason for re-homing:
New job requires extended travel overnight. Tilly has anxiety and needs a family where she has someone to interact with each day. She is motivated by treats and has had some training to sit, stay, shake hands… etc… Rainy weather, storms and airplanes cause her to want to hide. When this occurs, her safe place is in our laundry room with the dryer running without heat.
