Hi!
I’m Victoria! For the past 6 months I have been living with my rescue mommy. She found me in a commercial area where business owners were planning to shoot me. I don’t know how I got there and it was really scary. It was summer and scorching hot, I was seeking shelter from the sun under the cars in the parking lot. I couldn’t find much to eat or drink so I lost quite a bit of weight. I needed help from the elements but I didn’t know what you human things were all about so that was scary too.
My rescue mommy took me home and to the vet where they discovered I was about 5-8 years old, spayed and my family did not microchip me (I am now). I had several broken ribs, a knee condition and I really needed a dental. This was pretty gosh darn traumatic for me and the only way I knew how to communicate at the time was by showing some aggression because I was SO scared. I had never been confined before so that was stressful for me initially too.
My rescue mommy has worked really hard to show me that humans can be trusted and I LOVE MY RESCUE MOMMY. I am very affectionate and attached to her, she's seriously my bestie. I am still learning to trust other humans. I’m working on it but they need to give me more treats if this is gonna work. I am not the kind of cat that is going to invade your space randomly and I won’t jump on your counter or tables. I like to have a schedule and routine for our affection. I am learning to tolerate being picked up and handled more often and I am trained to eat in a cat carrier to make it easier to take me to the vet when needed.
I have a unique palate and only eat salmon flavored Friskies wet food (you can’t trick me with combo flavors or other brands either). I use my litter box without issues, I’m up to date on all my shots and FIV/FeLV negative. I had a full dental and my bad teeth were removed. I love looking out the windows and I know I’m absolutely gorgeous. TREATS. I love ALL TREATS.
I would like to find a home with one or two adults. Children will probably be ok, I’ll likely hide. I am not sure about other cats, I’ll likely be ok if they leave me alone, same with dogs. I’d probably hide until I’m used to them or they are no longer present. A perfect environment would be low key with not a lot of activity with a lot of windows for me to gaze out of and treats…. you should have lots of treats and a variety of styles for me to enjoy daily.
I am really hoping to find my forever mommy or foster mommy soon. I am a big girl now and have learned so much that I can have a family of my own and help my rescue mommy save other cats. Approx. 5-8 years old. I suspect on the older side possibly even older than 8. I set her birthday right in the middle of the estimate. She is microchipped, spayed (with tattoo), UTD on all shots and preventatives, had an extensive dental in 2024. Very affectionate and loving with me, is not a fan of other people. Not aggressive just would prefer the leave her alone. Experienced handler would be best as she still has some reactive tendencies in uncertain situations. Nighttime is when she seeks attention and pets and loves bedtime so she can crawl up on my chest, turn that motor on and start making muffins on me.
