Reason for re-homing:
Harley is a spunky, sweet, funny, energetic Alaskan Husky mix; female 45 lbs; a little over a year old. I adopted her from Harris County Pets (a kill shelter) at the very end of May, as I was ready for a dog and felt a connection with this lovely girl. She had only been in the shelter for a couple of days, and I was happy to save her life and bring her home. She has been with me about two months now, and while she remains a very sweet dog, I don't believe we are a good fit. Harley has a lot of energy, and I work some odd/long hours, so being at home during the day - alone - isn't well suited to her activity level or personality; and doggy daycare 1-2 times per week isn't cutting it. I know now that Harley really needs to be in a home with more people or other dogs to play with, as she's super energetic and social. She is housebroken and knows sit, down, and shake. We are working on her leash/walking skills; as she wants to bolt after every person or dog she sees in an attempt to play.
