Pet’s Information

Pet’s Name: Kiriko (Ko Ko)

Biography:

Kiriko (Ko-Ko) is a super sweet and very chill little cat. Ko-Ko walked up to our doorstep in March of 2023 with her fluffy tail, underweight with crazy hungry eyes, and we have two other cats and a toddler, so a third cat feels a bit much for us. She wants many pets and love, but my husband and I already give our attention to our other family cats that we have had for years. I feel bad that I do not cuddle with her that much, but I can see my cat gets upset if I cuddle Ko-Ko too much, and I don't want our family cat to feel jealous. She needs someone to make her number 1 instead of number 2.

Our toddler grabs and carries her around, our other cats get along with her, and she loves cuddles, shower water, paper bags, and lizards and is obsessed with cheese! We have not seen her around dogs, but she is easygoing and does not care if guests or more cats are around, or if someone picks her up, she just goes with it. She loves to sleep with, cuddle, and follow her favorite human. She loves being inside but does not mind going outside to run around. Sometimes she gets under the feet, and 9/10 times will pop on your lap while you sit or go to bed. She does little love nibbles while petted for a long time and rubs her head towards the pets. She is very social and loves all company -- she is not shy at all! She is very gentle; unless you have cheese, she will grab and run with it away.

We got her to a healthy weight, spayed, all the vaccine shots, and poop checked for any parasites. No ringworms or other yucky things cats can get. First, when she started staying with us, she didn't use the litter robot but the cat mat for the litter robot-- I think the litter robot freaked her out because I saw her pace around the litter robot as it moved and then hurried and used the mat instead. Now, she uses it without a problem and is more used to her environment. She is a bit weird about human food and is obsessed with cheese -- she likes stealing both, so her kit cat manners are still a work in process. My toddler feeds her food often, and she steals his cheese, so it doesn't help her cat manners. These are her biggest quirks, but overall, she is a rare little girl to have. All of our friends with dogs love her but do not want to take her because their dogs do not like cats. Out of the three of our cats, she is the crowd-pleaser and always gets the most compliments, "Finally, you guys have a nice cat!" they say, but our other cats are shy.

I am not taking her to a shelter. I would like to find her a home that will appreciate and love her more than we do! I am just tired of fighting my toddler and her each time we eat. She also needs more pets and love than we provide her in our busy household. Since we haven't had her for that long, she feels more like a roommate to us, than a family member -- I think we have too much going on.
