Pet’s Name: Velma
Biography:
Velma is 7.5years old and appears to be a lab mix. She showed up on our doorstep as a tiny puppy in Sept of 2016, so I'm guessing she was born in July. She is very sweet and loving with me, my kids, and other animals. She loves attention. My kids can lay on the floor and play with her and she is great with them. Velma is a little hyper when first coming in the house, but calms down within 5min and goes and lays down. She can be difficult to control for older people, unless they are stronger (Velma is strong, and tends to get excited when I take her out around other people and dogs. I can control her well, it just needs to be someone who can hold the leash for a 60lbs dog wanting to play with other people and dogs). Velma plays well with other dogs, she's grown up with 2 others. She avoids cats, but will not attack them, she is more scared of them. Velma had all of her recommended vaccines in Dec, 2023 and is up to date on heartworm and flea prevention. She would be a wonderful addition to a family. A yard would be preferable as it helps her run off energy (although, she is getting older, so that energy does not last long now). Also, we have a dog house, crate, dog bed, and outside lounger that can go with her.

Reason for re-homing:
We had to move into a camper recently and we have 3 dogs. I am unable to keep that many in a small camper. My brother-in-law took Velma, but has now decided he can't afford a dog and does not have time to care for her due to work. So, I am needing to find another home for her.
